Privacy policy
Last updated 2026-09-28
Your entries are stored on your phone.
- What the app stores. When you tap how you feel, it is saved as a small encrypted file on your own phone, inside the app. That is the only place it goes.
- What the app does not do. No account, no sign-in, no analytics, no trackers, no ads, no crash reports, no background network requests. Your entries stay on your phone.
- Backups. The app excludes its stored entries from Google and iCloud phone backups.
- What the stores may collect. Google Play and the Apple App Store may collect basic technical information when you install or update, under their own policies, outside Mano's control.
- Deleting your data. Delete one entry or erase everything from Settings at any time. Erasing cannot be undone. Uninstalling the app removes everything too.
- App lock. App lock uses your phone’s PIN, fingerprint or face recognition. You can enable it in Settings. It is off by default.
- Not a medical device. Mano does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition.
Support
Helplines are listed on the Help button inside the app.
Does Mano need the internet?
Logging entries works offline. External web links open in your browser.
Can anyone else see what I enter?
Entries stay on this phone. Someone with access to the unlocked app can read them. App lock adds a check using your phone’s screen lock.
What if I lose my phone or delete the app?
Entries remain on the phone. There is no backup copy to restore on a replacement phone. Uninstalling Mano deletes its stored entries.
Is Mano a replacement for a counsellor or doctor?
No. Mano is a log. Helplines are on the Help button inside the app.
Why does Mano ask my region?
To show the right helplines. Nepal gets the full set; other regions get findahelpline.com and the local emergency number. Mano never uses GPS; you can change the region in Settings.
